Hotel employee dies of overdose

JAKARTA (JP): A twenty-year-old hotel employee was found dead in front of a kindergarten by residents of Pejaten in South Jakarta, a staff member at Cipto Mangunkusumo General Hospital said on Tuesday.

"The deceased, Ferdinand Edwards, died of a drug overdose," Bambang said, adding that the family of the deceased took the remains to their hometown of Yogyakarta, Central Java, for burial.

Ferdinand, who worked at the Gran Melia Hotel in South Jakarta for one year, graduated from a hotel tourism academy two years ago, his aunt said.

She said Ferdinand, who lived with her, did not come home on Monday. "I never knew that he was a drug addict," she added. (04)
