Hotel back in business
BANDAR LAMPUNG, Lampung: The Sheraton Hotel here resumed operations on Sunday after its employees went on strike on Saturday, Antara reported.
Hotel general manager Nasir Mattusin said the striking employees dispersed just after dusk on Saturday.
Several employees confirmed they went back to work on Sunday despite the fact that not all of their demands were met by management.
The unfulfilled demands include a 50 percent raise in salaries and the replacement of Latifah Hanu Siregar as personnel manager. Nasir said decisions on these issues had to wait for approval from management in Jakarta. (05)
