Hotel and Restaurant Investment Reaches Rp 10.85 Trillion in Q1 2025
Investment realisation in the hotel and restaurant sector reached Rp 10.85 trillion in the first quarter of 2025, encompassing both Domestic Direct Investment (PMDN) and Foreign Direct Investment (PMA).
According to data from the Ministry of Investment and Downstreaming/Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM), the hotel and restaurant investment realisation covered 323,594 projects. With this figure, the hotel and restaurant sector ranked 14th out of 23 sub-sectors.
For domestic investment, the hotel and restaurant sector realised Rp 7.57 trillion across 14,513 projects, placing 11th out of 23 sub-sectors.
For foreign investment, the sector attracted US$204.92 million, equivalent to Rp 3.27 trillion (at an exchange rate of Rp 16,000), across 9,081 projects, ranking 17th out of 23 sub-sectors.
Total investment realisation in Indonesia during the quarter reached Rp 465.2 trillion, growing 15.9 per cent year-on-year. Of this amount, domestic investment contributed 50.5 per cent or Rp 234.8 trillion, growing 19.1 per cent year-on-year, whilst foreign investment contributed 49.5 per cent or Rp 230.4 trillion, growing 12.7 per cent year-on-year.
