The latest trends in fashion will go on show at one of the biggest fashion extranvaganzas in Asia, the fifth Singapore Fashion Festival from March 24 through April 3.
Presented by the Singapore Tourism Board and automaker Mercedes Benz, collections of international designers will be displayed on a glamorous catwalk built under a gigantic tent in Nge Ann City.
Among collections to be displayed during the festival are those from Givenchy, JPG, Kenzo, Guy Laroche, Alberta Ferretti, Roberto Cavalli and Chloe.
Tickets are available for free at the festival's website: www.singaporefashionfestival.com.sg.
The event is billed as the biggest and most glamorous fashion and shopping extravaganza in Asia and is expected to draw buyers from India, China, Japan, Australia and Indonesia.
"Shoppers can pick the shows they want to watch, enjoy the experience, buy what they like from the shows immediately, and be among the first to wear the season's best picks," festival director Simon Lock said.
Besides collections from international designers, Singapore Fashion Festival will also display items from street-wear stores like Topshop, The Link, Pois, and Singapore designer-label Hybrid-O!.
It will also exhibit fashion photographs by Leslie Kee, customized sneakers by Mark Ong, as well as shoes by Salvatore Ferragamo. Meanwhile, the Takashimaya Square will set a stage for beauty events and workshops by brands like Lancome and Vichy Skincare.
Singapore holds the event annually in its drive to become a world fashion center. -- Ve Handojo
