Hosting 'PANsar Murah Ramadan', Uya Kuya Distributes THR and Rice to Ojol Drivers and Residents

An Indonesian Member of Parliament from the National Mandate Party (PAN) faction, Uya Kuya, together with Jakarta’s DPRD member Astrid Kuya, held a social action titled ‘PANsar Murah Ramadhan’ in the Tanah Kusir area of South Jakarta on Wednesday, 4 March 2026. In the event, thousands of online motorcycle taxi drivers (ojol) and local residents crowded the venue to receive cheap staple food hampers and Hari Raya allowances (THR). Thousands queued in orderly lines to obtain rice and cash aid distributed directly by the celebrity-cum-PAN politicians. At the rice distribution, Uya Kuya was startled to see a man around 40 years old queuing while wearing a black T-shirt bearing the image of PAN chairman Zulkifli Hasan (Zulhas) who was carrying rice. When approached by Uya, the man said he bought the shirt on an online shopping platform because he admired the Food Coordinating Minister. ‘Buy it on Shopee, Mr. Uya. I am a fan of Pak Zul,’ the man said, which drew laughter and appreciation from Uya Kuya and other residents. Uya Kuya, who is also a member of Commission IX of the DPR RI, said the activity was not merely a routine action but a follow-up to the instruction of PAN General Chairman Zulkifli Hasan. ‘This PANsar activity is an order from Pak Ketum Zulkifli Hasan for all PAN legislators to strengthen social piety by helping people in their respective electoral districts,’ he said. Through the ‘PAN Bantu Rakyat’ movement, Uya hoped the spirit of togetherness and social unity in the community could be preserved, especially in facing the economic dynamics during Ramadan. ‘We want PAN to be closer in the hearts of the people and our presence should be felt as a real benefit,’ he added.
