Hosting P3DN Summit 2026, Pertamina Strengthens National Industry

Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto has praised PT Pertamina (Persero) for its contribution to strengthening the foundation of the national economy, calling the state-owned enterprise the ‘bedrock’ of Indonesia’s economy. The statement was made in relation to the Pertamina P3DN Summit 2026, an event that underscores the company’s commitment to national industrial growth. Pertamina’s role extends beyond maintaining energy security to actively promoting the Increased Use of Domestic Products (P3DN), expanding employment opportunities, and reinforcing Indonesia’s economic self-reliance. An independent study by the University of Indonesia in 2025 found that the implementation of P3DN within Pertamina generated a national economic output of Rp1,388.9 trillion, contributed Rp772.9 trillion to the Gross Domestic Product (GDP), and supported the absorption of approximately 4.47 million workers. Pertamina President Director Simon Aloysius Mantiri stated that the summit aligns with the government’s national development vision, particularly in strengthening downstream industries, increasing industrial added value, and achieving economic independence. ‘Pertamina aims to be the locomotive driving the national industry towards the global stage. Every investment made must strengthen the capacity of the domestic industry,’ Simon said. Director of Logistics & Infrastructure Jaffee Arizon Suardin explained that Pertamina’s integrated business scale, from upstream to downstream, provides significant opportunities to increase the absorption of domestic products and services. Through synergy across the holding, sub-holdings, and subsidiaries, Pertamina continues to optimise corporate spending to deliver maximum benefits for the national industry.
