Hospital duped into paying evacuation

DENPASAR, Bali: City police here are looking for U.S. citizen
Eisenhower D. Jay, 41, who has allegedly cheated the Sanglah
General Hospital of almost Rp 300 million.

Police spokesperson Ass. Supt. Andi Arwita said on Friday
hospital officials reported that Jay asked to be evacuated to
Singapore after he had been hospitalized for some time.

"He promised to pay his bills afterward," Andi told Antara.

The hospital evacuated Jay, who claimed to be an artist, from
Denpasar to Singapore by plane last weekend, which cost Rp 280
million (US$31,111).

But up until Friday, Jay had yet to transfer the money to the
hospital, which has since reported him to police.

Andi said police were coordinating with Interpol in several
countries to find Jay as it is unclear whether he is in Singapore
or the United States.
