It is heartening to note that the manager of Siloam Gleneagles
hospital will not refuse to admit poor patients. Tangerang
residents are very grateful for the gesture (Merdeka, Feb. 8).

This means the hospital is truly implementing its social
function. Most hospitals are notorious for their businesslike
operations. In spite of its luxurious appearance and adequate
facilities, the hospital is also making itself available for
everyone.
