Honoured as the Police Chief's Ally, Rezka Oktoberia Demonstrates Commitment to Resolving Land Issues in West Sumatra
West Sumatra, VIVA – Special Staff to the Minister of ATR/BPN, Rezka Oktoberia, visited the West Sumatra Regional Police Headquarters. During the visit, she was immediately welcomed by the top official in the West Sumatra police force. West Sumatra Police Chief Irjen Pol Gatot Tri Suryanta stated that his side warmly welcomed and appreciated the visit by the Special Staff to the Minister of ATR/BPN. “The collaboration and synergy we are building is not merely an inter-agency relationship, but a joint commitment to providing the best services for the community,” he said in a written statement, quoted on Monday, 27 April 2026. He also mentioned that in handling various land issues, spatial planning, agrarian matters, and accelerating development programmes, the roles of Polri and ATR/BPN complement and support each other. “As a token of appreciation and recognition for the dedication, commitment, and full support provided for the progress of West Sumatra, on this special occasion, I officially appoint Mrs Rezka Oktoberia as the Friend of the West Sumatra Police Chief,” he said. The two-star general explained that the award was a form of appreciation for demonstrating high concern, synergy, and joint efforts in helping to resolve land and agrarian problems in the Minang community, as well as supporting the realisation of better and more equitable development in the region. “May this bond of togetherness and friendship grow even stronger over time. Let us continue to join hands, synergise in every step, and ensure that every policy and programme we implement provides tangible benefits, felt directly by all levels of society in West Sumatra, and brings progress to our beloved region,” he explained. Meanwhile, Rezka expressed that she felt greatly honoured and thanked the warm welcome and very special award from the West Sumatra Police Chief. “This appointment is certainly a trust, and it will surely serve as motivation and additional energy for me and the entire ATR/BPN team in West Sumatra in particular, to continue providing the best services, working hard, completing tasks thoroughly, and supporting the acceleration of national development programmes,” she said.
