Honoring Tien

Located on 265 hectares of land east of Jakarta, Taman Mini
Indonesia Indah reflects all the cultures and traditions that
exist in Indonesia. Built 25 years ago, the park is indeed
monumental and has a strong sense of environment orientation and
offers to domestic as well as foreign visitors the cultural
beauties and arts which are typical to Indonesia.

In order to honor the highly respected daughter of the nation
who initiated and promoted this great idea, I propose the
government change the name of Taman Mini Indonesia Indah to Taman
Hartinah Indonesia. This is by no means to promote an individual
cult, but a means to remember her great contribution to the
country, and as the first lady.
