A temporary (honorary) teacher at SDN Brabe 1 in Probolinggo, identified as Muhammad Misbahul Huda (MMH), has been named a suspect for concurrently holding a position as a Local Village Facilitator (Pendamping Lokal Desa/PLD). Misbahul is alleged to have caused state losses of Rp 118 million by receiving salaries from both positions.

As reported on Tuesday (24/2/2026), the suspect designation was made by the Probolinggo District Prosecutor’s Office. According to prosecutors, the village facilitator employment contract stipulated that Misbahul must not hold any other employment funded by the state budget, whether from the national budget (APBN), regional budget (APBD), or village budget (APBDes).

Similar provisions were also contained in the temporary teacher’s contract, which prohibited entering into employment agreements with other institutions if both positions were funded by state resources. Head of the Intelligence Section at the Probolinggo District Prosecutor’s Office, Taufik Eko Purwanto, explained that these regulations were set out in the respective employment agreements for each position.

“The state losses incurred, based on calculations by the Audit Supervisory Team of the East Java High Prosecutor’s Office, amount to approximately Rp 118 million,” said Taufik on Thursday (12/2/2026).

The suspect was subsequently detained by the investigating prosecutors’ team under a detention warrant. He was held at the Class IIB State Detention Centre (Rutan) in Kraksaan.

In the latest development, a neighbour of Misbahul reported that he had returned home. The neighbour said Misbahul was released from detention after the case went viral.
