Honor Play 11 debuts with 8,300 mAh battery and 120Hz display

Jakarta (ANTARA) - Honor has officially launched the Play 11 as a new addition to its affordable smartphone line-up in China.

According to a Gizmochina report on Monday (14 September) local time, the Honor Play 11 comes with a 6.8-inch TFT LCD display boasting a resolution of 1,592 x 720 pixels and a 120Hz refresh rate.

The screen offers brightness of up to 1,020 nits in HBM mode, and is equipped with DC dimming, an eye comfort mode, and a display mode that mimics natural light. The Honor Play 11 measures 168.3 x 78.54 x 8.30 mm and weighs 216.5 grams.

In terms of performance, the phone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 4 chipset paired with up to 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage.

One of the features on offer is the ability to dismiss pop-up windows with a single press. The button can also be used to access other AI features, such as Any Door, remote assistance, and AI-based face manipulation detection.

On the camera front, the Honor Play 11 features a 50MP main camera with an f/1.8 aperture on the rear. For selfies and video calls, there is a 5MP front-facing camera with an f/2.2 aperture.

Battery life is one of the phone’s main selling points. Honor has equipped the Play 11 with an 8,300 mAh battery supporting 45W wired fast charging, as well as reverse charging, allowing the phone to function as a power bank for other devices.

Honor claims the Play 11’s battery can maintain its health for six years based on the company’s internal testing conditions. The phone is also fitted with stereo speakers featuring a high-volume mode that can boost sound output by up to 400 per cent.

In terms of connectivity, the Honor Play 11 supports 5G networks, dual nano-SIM, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 4.2, NFC, and a USB Type-C port. The fingerprint sensor is positioned on the side of the device.

For physical durability, the Honor Play 11 carries IP68, IP69, and IP69K certifications, providing protection against water and dust. The phone has also obtained a five-star SGS Gold Label certification for drop and pressure resistance.

Honor claims the phone can survive drops from heights of up to 2.5 metres.

In China, the Honor Play 11 is priced from 1,399 yuan (Rp3.6 million) for the 6GB/128GB variant. The 8GB/128GB model retails at 1,599 yuan (Rp4.2 million), whilst the 8GB/256GB variant is priced at 1,899 yuan (Rp5 million).
