Honor Magic V6 Foldable Phone Officially Launched with Large Battery in Slim Design
Chinese smartphone vendor Honor has introduced its latest foldable smartphone, the Honor Magic V6, at the Mobile World Conferences (MWC) 2026 event held in Barcelona, Spain.
The Honor Magic V6 arrives with several enhancements, including a large battery housed within a thin chassis. This horizontally-folding smartphone with a book-like display also carries two water and dust resistance certifications: IP68 and IP69.
The IP68 certification indicates that the smartphone can withstand submersion to a depth of 1.5 metres, whilst IP69 demonstrates that the device is designed to resist high-pressure water sprays and high temperatures.
Additionally, the Honor Magic V6 employs a new hinge mechanism called Super Steel, which utilises steel material and has been tested to withstand 500,000 folds, based on Honor’s internal laboratory results.
The Honor Magic V6 has been engineered with a thinner and lighter body. On paper, its thickness is merely 4mm when unfolded and 8.75mm when folded, comparable to the iPhone 17 Pro Max body.
Regarding weight, it has been designed to be lighter at 219 grammes.
As for the displays, the Magic V6 comes with a main AMOLED TPO 2.0 screen spanning 7.95 inches with a resolution of 2,172 x 2,352 pixels and an adaptive refresh rate of 1–120 Hz.
The main display features brightness levels at 5,000 nits with pixel density reaching 403 PPI.
The front display (visible when folded) utilises an AMOLED panel as well, though with a smaller size of 6.52 inches, resolution of 2,420 x 1,080 pixels, and higher brightness at 6,000 nits.
This enhancement will make the crease on the central fold of the display more concealed compared to the previous generation.
