Honor Launches Budget Tablet in Indonesia Starting at Rp 2 Million with Large Screen and High-Capacity Battery

Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia - Honor has launched the Pad X8b tablet in Indonesia starting at Rp 2 million. The device features a slim design and a large-capacity battery. ‘The three key features are the 11-inch display, the large 10,100mAh battery, and the sturdy metal body,’ said Aryo Meidianto Aji, Head of Public Relations for PT Trinova Digital Indonesia, Honor’s distributor in Indonesia, during an interview at the Honor Experience Store in Jakarta on Monday, 25 May 2026. The display measures 11 inches with a brightness of 500 nits and a 90Hz refresh rate. The tablet supports 15W charging. Aryo explained that charging from 8% to 100% takes approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes with the screen on, and 1 hour 30 minutes with the screen off. ‘Standby time is 90 days. When continuously playing video, it lasts around 22 hours, and for continuous music playback, it can run for 123 hours,’ he added. Aryo explained that the combination of the battery and Snapdragon 680 chipset delivers extended usage time. The chipset also supports basic AI features, including certain Gemini capabilities thanks to MagicOS 10. The tablet has a metal body, measuring 7.25mm thick and weighing 499 grams. It holds a 5-Star SGS rating for improved drop and pressure resistance. Additionally, the tablet features IP64 water resistance and is equipped with four speakers certified by iRaise Audio. The Honor Pad X8 can be used by children with parental controls via Honor Kids. Features include multimedia, camera, painting, and recording capabilities. Usage time can be set and monitored via the parent’s smartphone. Honor Kids includes protections such as dual light filters to adjust overly bright light that could harm eyes, and alerts for when the device is held too close or when posture is slouched. It also provides warnings when used on bumpy roads, adjusting for stability. The box includes a charger and cable, along with a SIM ejector tool and warranty card. CNBC Indonesia handled the tablet. The 11-inch screen has bezels that are not overly thin, similar to most devices. The tablet is not too heavy or thick, making it comfortable to hold for extended periods, such as watching videos. However, the back is quite slippery, suggesting a cover may be needed for use.
