HONOR CEO Shines on Stage at MWC 2026 as Robot Phone Wins Praise for Innovation and Integrated Smart Technology
Barcelona, Spain, (ANTARA/PRNewswire) - On 4 March, James Li, CEO of HONOR, the global AI devices ecosystem company, gave a presentation on the main stage at Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2026. During the presentation, he explained how artificial intelligence (AI) technologies can enhance human potential.
“We believe the essence of AI must remain human-centric,” Li said as HONOR took the main stage at MWC for the first time. “We want to deliver smart technology with both IQ and EQ—the ability to solve problems while understanding humans. This technology will help us navigate a rapidly changing world, enabling us to live each moment with excitement, love and wisdom.”
This year HONOR showcased its future vision through the concept of Augmented Human Intelligence (AHI) and unveiled the flagship HONOR Robot Phone, the focal point of attention.
Earlier, HONOR also won the ‘Best Disruptive Device Innovation’ award from Global Mobile (GLOMO) at MWC 2026 for its silicon-carbon battery technology adoption and commercialisation.
With this innovation, the HONOR Magic V6 achieves a silicon content of 25%, supporting greater energy density in the ultra-thin foldable phone design. At MWC 2026, HONOR also unveiled the latest generation battery innovation—the HONOR Silicon-Carbon Blade Battery, with 32% silicon content and an energy density of 985 Wh/L. This technology marks a new leap in battery development for high-capacity performance in a very slim device.
In addition, several global organisations awarded ‘Best in Show’ to a number of HONOR products at MWC 2026, including the HONOR Robot Phone, HONOR Magic V6, HONOR MagicPad 4, and HONOR MagicBook Pro 14. Media and industry analysts also praised HONOR’s human-focused innovations and the integration of robotics, AI, and mobile communications.
The HONOR Robot Phone stands as a tangible realisation of the AHI vision, placing humans at the centre of the AI revolution. The concept emphasises that technology should augment human potential and creativity, not replace it.
To realise this vision, HONOR outlined three types of intelligence that must work together: personal intelligence, AI agents on the user’s personal devices; universal intelligence, humanity’s collective knowledge providing global information for users; and edge intelligence, devices such as robots and electric vehicles that act as the user’s ‘eyes’ and ‘hands’ in the real world.
As an AI device capable of sensing and interacting with its surroundings, the HONOR Robot Phone demonstrates how the three types of intelligence can be integrated seamlessly. The technology helps anyone become a professional filmmaker by combining AI with imaging technologies to offer new ways of expression. ‘This technology not only simplifies the process of content creation but also makes it far more engaging,’ said James Li.
At the end of his presentation, Li invited industry players to collaborate in building an ecosystem of AI devices. ‘We want to be an innovative company and to work with the best creative minds. Together, we can build a more exciting future for AI,’ he said.
From the Robot Phone to the latest innovations in foldables, tablets, and PCs, global media and MWC attendees can visit HONOR’s booth in Hall 3 to explore the future of smart devices.
