Hong Kong to invest in transportation

JAKARTA: Several Hong Kong investors are interested in financing transportation projects in the capital, Governor Sutiyoso says.

"They are looking into business opportunities here, especially in transportation projects," he said after meeting with the president of the Hong Kong Association of International Investment, Hui Chi Ming, over the weekend.

The association paid a visit to Sutiyoso to offer investment cooperation with the city administration.

No details were available on any solid deals made during the meeting.

Sutiyoso welcomed any new investment in the capital, which he said would boost the city's economic growth. --JP
