JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – Honda Motor Co. has officially launched its latest compact electric vehicle, the Honda Super One, in Japan on Friday, 22 April 2026. Citing its official website, the model is developed from the Honda N-ONE e: platform but features a sportier design focused on driving enjoyment. Honda describes the Super One concept as ‘e: Dash BOOSTER’, a compact electric vehicle designed for enjoyable daily use. Honda has widened the wheel track by 10 mm compared to the N-ONE e:, a change claimed to improve stability and handling, particularly during manoeuvres and high-speed driving. Inside the cabin, the Super One features sport seats with an asymmetric blue colour scheme. The dashboard layout is horizontal to provide better visibility for the driver. One of the vehicle’s key attractions is its lightweight design. Honda claims the Super One weighs just 1,090 kg, making it one of the lightest compact electric vehicles in its class. To enhance the driving experience, five driving modes are available: ECON, CITY, NORMAL, SPORT, and BOOST. The CITY mode includes Single Pedal Control (one-pedal driving), allowing drivers to accelerate and decelerate using only the accelerator pedal. Honda also incorporates a simulated seven-speed transmission with virtual engine sounds via the Active Sound Control feature. When BOOST mode is activated, the instrument panel changes from blue to purple to enhance the sporty atmosphere. In terms of performance, the Super One has a range of up to 274 km based on Japan’s WLTC testing standard. The electric vehicle also supports external power supply of up to 1,500 watts via the Honda Power Supply Connector, enabling it to power electronic devices during emergencies or outdoor activities. Additionally, a 9-inch Honda CONNECT screen is integrated with Google Maps and built-in Google apps. For safety, the Super One is equipped with Honda SENSING, including Collision Mitigation Braking System (CMBS), Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), Lane Keeping Assist System (LKAS), Traffic Jam Assist, and parking sensors. In Japan, the Honda Super One is priced from 3,390,200 yen, approximately Rp 380 million, inclusive of Japan’s 10% consumption tax.
