JAKARTA – Honda Motor Co., Ltd. has officially announced plans to launch its latest compact electric vehicle, the Super One, in Japan. The model is scheduled to go on sale at the end of May 2026.

Citing an official statement from Honda, the manufacturer will first open orders on 16 April 2026 through the Honda Cars dealer network across Japan. Unfortunately, there is no official information yet regarding the price or booking fee for the Honda Super One in Japan.

Following its launch in Japan, the electric vehicle will be marketed in other Asian countries, including Indonesia.

PT Honda Prospect Motor (HPM) has confirmed that the electric vehicle (EV) registered in the NJKB of DKI Jakarta is the same model that was previously road-tested in Indonesia. However, the company has not yet confirmed the official name of the vehicle in question.

“We have concrete plans for that car here. I can’t mention the name yet. We can’t talk about the name; it hasn’t been disclosed,” said HPM’s Sales & Marketing and After Sales Director, Yusak Billy, when met in Jakarta recently.

“But the one registered at Samsat (NJKB) is indeed the same car that was tested on the roads in Indonesia a while ago,” he added.

For information, the 2026 NJKB document lists the code JG6 A EV ZZE with a selling value of Rp 257 million. The ‘EV’ code indicates a battery-based vehicle, but this figure is not the official consumer selling price.
