Honda Motorcycle Sales Reach 394,000 Units in April 2026
JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – Honda motorcycles are claimed to have recorded positive domestic sales in April 2026. The post-Lebaran momentum is said to be one of the main factors driving the increase in Honda motorcycle distribution in the national market.
“Honda’s domestic sales in April amounted to 394,000 units,” said General Manager of Corporate Communication at PT Astra Honda Motor (AHM), Ahmad Muhibbuddin, to Kompas.com on Tuesday (12/5/2026).
This achievement also reflects the recovery of the national motorcycle market after experiencing a decline in the previous month.
“Normalisation of workdays post-Lebaran also drove an increase in distribution from the manufacturer to the network,” said Muhib to Kompas.com (12/5/2026).
“I hope this market strengthening continues, so that Honda’s distribution can rebound to exceed 400,000 units like at the beginning of the year,” he added.
That figure increased by around 16 percent compared to March 2026, which was recorded at 448,974 units. [Note: The percentage appears inconsistent with the figures; it may refer to year-over-year growth.]
Not only monthly, national motorcycle sales also grew significantly compared to the same period last year.
Meanwhile, Honda’s dominance in the national two-wheeler market is also evident from the large market share achieved in April 2026.
From total national motorcycle sales of 520,972 units, Honda contributed around 394,000 units or about 75.6 percent of the domestic market.
