Honda announces official price for Prelude, priced at Rp974.9 million
Jakarta (ANTARA) - Ahead of the staggered delivery of Honda Prelude units to customers in Indonesia scheduled for late May 2026, PT Honda Prospect Motor (HPM) has announced the official price of the Honda Prelude at Rp974.9 million. Since bookings opened in January 2026, the Honda Prelude has received 280 orders, surpassing the available allocation. “This model represents Honda’s electrification approach, which not only focuses on efficiency but also maintains the driving character that is our hallmark,” said President Director of PT Honda Prospect Motor, Masanao Kataoka, in a press release received in Jakarta on Tuesday. The company revealed that the high demand is also evident from the distribution of bookings, which come not only from major cities on Java but also from various other regions such as Palembang, Lampung, Bali, Lombok, Banjarmasin, and Makassar. “We thank consumers for their enthusiasm towards the Honda Prelude, which has exceeded our expectations. The very positive reception of the Honda Prelude reflects that Honda’s future product development direction remains relevant to consumer needs,” said Masanao. The presence of the Honda Prelude in Indonesia marks the return of Honda’s legendary model, now featuring hybrid technology. The 2026 Honda Prelude is the sixth-generation hybrid sports coupe returning after two decades, combining efficiency and performance. Powered by a 2.0L 4-cylinder Atkinson cycle engine + two electric motors (e:HEV), it produces a total output of ~200-203 PS, front-wheel drive (FWD), and S+ Shift feature for virtual gear shift simulation, designed for driving pleasure.
