The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has conducted raids on multiple locations in connection with an investigation into alleged corruption and bribery relating to public works projects in Rejang Lebong Regency, Bengkulu Province, for the 2025-2026 fiscal year.

The locations searched included the residence of Rejang Lebong Regent for the 2025-2030 term Muhammad Fikri Thobari, the residence and office of Public Works, Spatial Planning, Housing and Settlement Chief (PUPRPKP) Harry Eko Purnomo, the Education Office, and residences of other suspects and witnesses.

The raids were conducted continuously from 13 March to 15 March 2026. During the operations, investigators seized various documents and electronic evidence. Additionally, investigators discovered and seized Rp1 billion in cash from the residence of the Public Works Chief.

The KPK has named five suspects in the case. Two suspects are accused of receiving bribes: Regent Fikri and Public Works Chief Harry Eko. The three suspects accused of giving bribes are Irsyad Satria Budiman from PT Statika Mitra Sarana, Edi Manggala from CV Manggala Utama, and Youki Yusdiantoro from CV Alpagker Abadi.

All suspects have been detained since 11 March through 30 March 2026 at the KPK’s Red and White Building Detention Centre.

Fikri and Harry Eko are charged with violating Articles 12(a) or 12(b) and/or 12B of the Law on Eradication of Corruption Offences (Tipikor Law) in conjunction with Article 20(c) of Law Number 1 of 2023 concerning the Criminal Code (KUHP). The three private sector suspects are charged with violating Articles 605(1) or 606(1) of the Criminal Code in conjunction with Law Number 1 of 2026 on Criminal Penalty Adjustment.
