Homecoming traffic for Eid 2026 is showing significant increases. To anticipate the surge of vehicles heading eastbound, traffic management measures in the form of a local one-way system have been implemented on the Trans-Java Toll Road.

PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol (JTT) is supporting the implementation of the local one-way system, which runs from KM 70 of the Jakarta–Cikampek Toll Road section to KM 263 of the Pejagan–Pemalang Toll Road section. This traffic management measure was implemented from 15:18 WIB on Tuesday, 17 March 2026, at the discretion of the police.

This measure is part of a joint effort between Jasa Marga Group, the police, and the Ministry of Transport to maintain smooth traffic flow, particularly during the peak homecoming period.

JTT has made various preparations to support the implementation of the traffic management measures. These include the installation of signage and traffic cones, placement of officers at strategic points, and optimisation of toll gate capacity by deploying additional booths.

Beyond this, intensive coordination with the police has also been conducted, including the management of toll road access opening and closing. JTT also ensures that emergency services such as tow trucks, ambulances, and toll road patrols remain on standby 24 hours a day.

On another front, the management of rest areas is also receiving attention. JTT is implementing a situational opening-and-closing system to prevent vehicle congestion within rest areas.

Vice President of Corporate Secretary and Legal at PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol, Ria Marlinda Paallo, emphasised that these preparations reflect the company’s commitment to providing optimal service during the homecoming period.

“JTT, together with stakeholders, has prepared various anticipatory measures, including support for the implementation of situational one-way traffic management. We urge road users to plan their journeys carefully and follow the guidance of personnel in the field for the safety and smooth flow of all traffic,” said Ria.

JTT also reminds toll road users to ensure their vehicles are in good condition before travelling. In addition, adequate fuel and electronic payment balance also need to be ensured.

Road users are also urged to take advantage of toll rate discounts during certain periods to help distribute travel times and reduce congestion.

To monitor traffic conditions in real-time, the public can use the Travoy application or contact Jasa Marga’s One Call Centre at number 133 to obtain the latest information about travel on toll roads.
