SOUTH LAMPUNG – Passenger ferry traffic from Merak in Banten continued to arrive at Bakauheni Port in Lampung during the six days before Eid 2026.

Based on observations at the location on Sunday (15 March 2026) between 14:00 and 16:30 Western Indonesia Time, hundreds of foot passengers and vehicles of homebound travellers continued to arrive at Bakauheni Port.

One of the travellers who had just arrived at Bakauheni Port, Al Azhar, stated that he had undertaken his homeward journey earlier to avoid congestion in the Merak Port area in Banten.

“Praise be to God, the journey was smooth, with no congestion. From the trip from Bekasi to Merak, everything went smoothly without any obstacles,” he said.

According to him, an early homeward journey did not exhaust his energy much because there was no severe congestion during the journey or at Merak and Bakauheni ports.

“The journey home was more comfortable. Work has already started its holiday period, so I can enjoy the holiday and Eid celebration longer with family in the village,” he said.
