Director General of Regional Finance at the Ministry of Home Affairs Agus Fatoni has been unanimously elected Chairman of the Ikatan Keluarga Alumni Pendidikan Tinggi Kepamongprajaan (IKAPTK) for the 2026-2031 period. Fatoni was elected during the IKAPTK Extraordinary National Congress (Konaslub) at the Jenderal Rudini Hall, IPDN Campus in Jatinangor, Sumedang, on Saturday (27/6). Fatoni expressed his gratitude and appreciation to all parties who ensured the success of the congress and entrusted him with the leadership of IKAPTK. ‘I also thank the committee who organised today’s event from start to finish, the commissariats, DPN, DPP and DPK, and the session leaders. Thank you to IKAPTK Patron the Minister of Home Affairs, the Deputy Minister of Home Affairs, the Secretary General, all leaders of ministries and institutions, Governors, Regents, and Mayors who supported this process,’ said Fatoni. In a written statement from the Ministry of Home Affairs, Fatoni said this support proves that IKAPTK is an organisation accepted and backed by all elements of government. ‘This is proof that we are accepted by all. This is our pride. Thank you for the support, the trust, the suggestions, and the mandate given. I will do my utmost to carry out this task as well as possible,’ he stated. Fatoni is not a new figure in IKAPTK. He was one of the initiators and founders of the Purna Praja organisation. He previously served as Chairman of IKAPTK for the 2010-2015 period and as Daily Chair of the IKAPTK National Governing Board for the 2017-2021 period. IKAPTK is an organisation that accommodates all alumni of higher education in governance, from KDC, APDN, IIP, STPDN to IPDN. The organisation has 45,592 alumni members spread across various government agencies, both at the central and regional levels. The extraordinary national congress was held to elect a new Chairman following the end of the term of the IKAPTK National Governing Board for the 2020-2025 period. The forum also served as a momentum to strengthen organisational solidarity and formulate the future policy direction of IKAPTK. Throughout his career, Fatoni has been entrusted four times as Acting Governor, serving in North Sulawesi, South Sumatra, North Sumatra, and Papua. He has also held positions as Acting Secretary General of the Ministry of Home Affairs, Head of the Ministry’s Research and Development Agency, Head of the Leadership Administration Bureau, Secretary of KORPRI, Head of the Cooperation Centre, Head of the Protocol Division of the Ministry of Home Affairs, and Personal Secretary to the Minister of Home Affairs.
