Bekasi (ANTARA) - Holiday travellers, whether using two-wheeled or four-wheeled vehicles, are urged to utilise the service posts and integrated posts provided along the mudik routes in Bekasi Regency, West Java, for resting.

Acting Regent of Bekasi, Asep Surya Atmaja, stated that preparations for the service posts and integrated posts in the area have been running optimally in accordance with standard operating procedures, thanks to support from various related agencies.

“From the inspection results, we see that all mudik posts are functioning well. The presence of health services, Jasa Raharja support, and other supporting facilities demonstrates thorough readiness in serving the holiday travellers,” he said in Cikarang on Thursday.

He assessed that the strategic locations of these posts are key to providing a sense of safety and comfort for the public undertaking mudik journeys.

“We ensure that strategic points are well covered so that holiday travellers have safe access to rest and receive the services they need during their travels,” he said.

Asep also urged the public not to push themselves when feeling tired during the mudik journey and to utilise the various facilities available at the mudik posts, both on arterial routes, the Pantura Road, and the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road section.

The Integrated Post for Operation Ketupat Jaya 2026 in Bekasi Regency is equipped with various supporting facilities to comprehensively meet the needs of holiday travellers, including free health services, SAR standby, BPBD posts, Jasa Raharja services, lactation rooms, prayer rooms, and free motorcycle repair services.

“We provide complete facilities at every mudik post so that drivers feel safe and comfortable, whether for resting, health checks, or ensuring their vehicles are in top condition,” he said.

Bekasi Metro Police Chief, Commissioner General Pol. Sumarni, also reminded the public to always prioritise safety during mudik travels and urged travellers not to push themselves if their physical condition declines.

The police chief assured that all related personnel have been deployed to support mudik traffic security. Measures such as traffic arrangements, handling congestion-prone points, and closing U-turns are being carried out in coordination with the Metro Jaya Police Traffic Directorate.

“All our personnel are placed at service posts and integrated posts, carrying out traffic engineering and ensuring the security and comfort of holiday travellers,” she said.
