Holiday Inn to open soon

JAKARTA (JP): Holiday Inn Worldwide, the hotel division of Bass Plc. of Britain, will soon operate a 372-room hotel in Jakarta called the Holiday Inn Crown Plaza.

A spokesperson for the hotel, Marlene Franz, said here yesterday that the 19-story hotel will have its soft opening in October.

She said that the five-star hotel is owned by PT Prabu Budi Mulia, an affiliate of the Wijaya Wisesa business group.

The Holiday Inn Crown Plaza is located on Jl. Gatot Subroto, in the city's "golden triangle".

Holiday Inn currently operates a star-rated hotel in Bali. The company will open another hotel in Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara, in the near future.

Holiday Inn Worldwide has more than 2,000 hotels in some 60 countries and territories. (icn)
