Holding Limited Meeting Over the Weekend, Prabowo Highlights Worker Protection to Higher Education Quality
President of the Republic of Indonesia Prabowo Subianto held a limited meeting (ratas) with members of the Red and White Cabinet in Hambalang, Bogor, West Java, on Saturday (2/5). The meeting specifically highlighted worker protection and the optimisation of the role of higher education institutions.
Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya stated that the meeting, which took place from afternoon until evening, discussed various strategic issues to deliver policies that protect, educate, and prosper all layers of Indonesian society.
In the discussion on employment issues, President Prabowo gave significant attention to conveying aspirations from various labour unions across Indonesia. These aspirations are an important point, as the government has issued several worker-friendly policies when attending the International Labour Day commemoration on Friday (1/5) at the National Monument in Jakarta.
In addition to worker protection, the limited meeting also spotlighted the higher education sector. The government is encouraging higher education institutions to directly engage in development in their respective regions.

Several high-ranking officials attended to accompany the President in the limited meeting, including Minister of Defence Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin, TNI Commander General Agus Subiyanto, National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, and Deputy TNI Commander Lieutenant General Tandyo Budi Revita. TNI branch leaders were also present, namely Army Chief of Staff General Maruli Simanjuntak and Navy Chief of Staff Admiral Muhammad Ali.
In addition, the meeting was attended by Head of the State Intelligence Agency (BIN) M Herindra, Foreign Minister Sugiono, Minister of Higher Education, Science, and Technology (Mendiktisaintek) Brian Yuliarto, and State Secretary Minister (Mensesneg) Prasetyo Hadi.
Also in attendance were Head of the Government Communication Agency Muhammad Qodari, Deputy Minister of Communication and Digital (Wamenkomdigi) Angga Raka Prabowo, Cabinet Secretary (Seskab) Teddy Indra Wijaya, up to President Director of PT Pindad Sigit Puji Santosa.
