Hoegeng Awards 2026 Public Test Has Closed!
Public consultation for Hoegeng Awards 2026 opened on Thursday, 7 May 2026, and closed today at 15:00 WIB. The detikcom editorial team has received numerous submissions concerning the 15 candidates for Hoegeng Awards 2026 during the public consultation. The editorial team guarantees the anonymity of detikcom readers who provided input about the candidates. Information received about these 15 exemplary police officers came from members of the public who know the candidates’ actions and from those who have experience of police services. They expressed support for the candidates to be selected to receive Hoegeng Awards 2026. However, it should be emphasised that from the outset, the Hoegeng Awards were not designed as a popularity contest. The organising committee and the Expert Council did not accept any form of fundraising or solicitation of support in this public test of Hoegeng Awards 2026. The candidates entering the public test were those chosen by the Expert Council Hoegeng Awards 2026 in a meeting held at Menara Bank Mega, South Jakarta, on Wednesday (6 May 2026). The Expert Council comprises: Chairman of Commission III of the DPR Dr Habiburokhman, SH, MH; National Coordinator Jaringan Gusdurian Indonesia Alissa Qotrunnada Wahid, MPsi; Deputy Chairman Komnas HAM Putu Elvina, SPsi, MM; former Acting head of KPK Dr Mas Achmad Santosa, SH, LLM; and member of Kompolnas Gufron Mabruri. The 15 candidates were selected from proposals submitted by readers via a digital form to Hoegeng Awards 2026.
