Hoegeng Awards 2026 Grand Finale to be Held Tonight
The grand finale of the 2026 Hoegeng Awards, honouring five exemplary police officers, will be held tonight. This award ceremony will be broadcast live on detikcom.
The peak event of the Hoegeng Awards 2026 will be attended by the Chief of the Indonesian National Police, General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, and the Chairman of CT Corp, Chairul Tanjung. Ministers and leaders of state institutions are also scheduled to attend.
The event will commence at 19:00 WIB, Friday (3ly July 2026), at The Tribrata Darmawangsa, South Jakarta. Renowned Indonesian singer Pongki Barata will perform during the ceremony.
About the Hoegeng Awards
The Hoegeng Awards is a collaborative programme between detikcom and the Indonesian National Police (Polri) to provide recognition to exemplary police officers. There are five award categories in the 2026 Hoegeng Awards: Dedicated Police, Innovative Police, Integrity Police, Police Protector of Women and Children, and Police in Border and Remote Areas.
The 2026 Hoegeng Awards process began with the collection of names of exemplary officers proposed by the public starting from 27 January 2026. Approximately nine thousand names were submitted by the public until the nomination process closed on 2 April 2026.
From these proposals, the Hoegeng Awards 2026 organising committee conducted verification and initial selection. The names that passed verification were then submitted to the Hoegeng Awards 2026 Expert Board, which includes former Acting Head of the KPK, Dr Mas Achmad Santosa; Kompolnas member Gufron Mabruri; National Coordinator of the Gusdurian Indonesia Network, Alissa Qotrunnada Wahid; Deputy Chair of Komnas HAM, Putu Elvina; and the Chair of Commission III of the DPR, Dr Habiburokhman.
The Expert Board held several meetings before selecting the nominees for each category. A public trial was also held from Thursday, 7 May 2026, to Friday, 22 May 2026, during which detikcom gathered public feedback regarding the candidates.
