Hockey star gets death threat
BOMBAY, India (AP): Indian hockey star Dhanraj Pillay said Thursday he was worried about a threat on his life by Islamic militant group Lashkar-e-Tayyaba.
"I heard from the police in the last week of May that I'm on the hit list of Lashkar-e-Tayyaba," Pillay told The Associated Press.
Pillay's concern increased when the troubled Jammu-Kashmir region was chosen as the venue for the Indian hockey contingent's training camp before participation in an international tournament in Malaysia next month.
