Investigation reveals no official statements from the government or credible media sources confirming that South Tangerang City Government plans to legalise alcohol to boost PAD. According to the official account of South Tangerang City’s Public Relations, the government consistently prohibits alcohol sales in the area, as stipulated in Regional Regulation (Perda) No. 2 of 2025 on Public Order and Community Peace. Furthermore, South Tangerang City Government, alongside the Municipal Police, continues operations to crack down on illegal alcohol distribution in several areas, including Serpong. In reality, the local government confirms there are no regulations legalising alcohol sales to boost PAD.
