Hoax! Minister of State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi announces pension fund assistance

A Facebook post featuring a video that appears to show Minister of State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi announcing a pension fund assistance programme is a hoax. The post also included a poster titled “Special Assistance Programme for Pensioners” listing benefits, registration requirements, and a WhatsApp number to claim the aid. In the manipulated video, a voice resembling Prasetyo Hadi states, “I am Prasetyo Hadi, a state official. I want to inform you that this pension fund assistance programme has been officially launched in 2026. Immediately submit your data to claim your pension funds.” However, based on an investigation, the original video was taken from a press conference where Prasetyo Hadi discussed the importance of journalistic documentation for public understanding of government programmes, such as food self-sufficiency, energy self-sufficiency, and the Free Nutritious Meals programme. He never announced any pension fund assistance programme. Further analysis using AI detection tools confirmed that the speech in the video was generated by artificial intelligence, with a 99.2 percent probability of being AI-manufactured. The claim is therefore a hoax.
