Hoax! Article claiming Dadan Hindayana said Jokowi received Rp2 trillion MBG bribe

A post on social media platform X has circulated a narrative that former Head of the National Nutrition Agency (BGN) Dadan Hindayana stated that Indonesia’s 7th President, Joko Widodo, received a bribe of Rp2 trillion in the alleged corruption case involving the Free Nutritious Meal Programme (MBG). The post featured a screenshot of an article with a headline claiming Hindayana possessed evidence in the form of cheques and transfer notes related to the alleged bribe, accompanied by a provocative narrative attacking Jokowi. The headline in the circulating screenshot read: ‘Dadan Hindayana Sebut Nama Joko Widodo Menerima uang Suap MBG Sebesar 2 Triliun, Saya Punya Cek Nota Transferannya’. However, based on investigation, no article or official statement was found in which Dadan Hindayana accused Joko Widodo of receiving an Rp2 trillion bribe in the MBG corruption case. The search results indicate that the circulating article screenshot has been edited. The original article was titled ‘Dadan Hindayana dan Dua Eks Wakil Kepala BGN Ditahan Kejagung!’ (Dadan Hindayana and Two Former Deputy Heads of BGN Detained by the Attorney General’s Office). The original article explained that the Attorney General’s Office had named Dadan Hindayana as a suspect in the alleged MBG corruption case and detained him along with two former Deputy Heads of BGN, namely Sony Sonjaya and Lodewyk Pusung. The article contained no statements regarding Jokowi’s involvement or accusations of receiving an Rp2 trillion bribe. No official evidence or documents were found to support the claim. Therefore, the claim that Dadan Hindayana stated Jokowi received an Rp2 trillion MBG bribe is false information. The circulating article headline has been edited and constitutes a hoax.
