HNW expressed this during the opening of the LCC Four Pillars of MPR RI provincial selection level held at the Hajj Dormitory in Bengkulu City, attended by hundreds of students from Senior High Schools and State Madrasah Aliyah across Bengkulu on Saturday (2/5/2026). HNW stressed that Bengkulu is not merely a regional name but an area with significant historical value in the journey of the Indonesian nation. He recalled Bengkulu’s role in the history of Independence, including its connection to Fatmawati and Soekarno. “Bengkulu is not just a name. This is a province that binds our historical memory and togetherness, both in local and national contexts, especially in the struggle to bring about an independent Indonesia,” said HNW in a written statement on Sunday (3/5/2026). He explained that the LCC Four Pillars of MPR activity is one of the efforts to refresh historical memory while instilling the spirit of continuing the struggle of the nation’s founders to the younger generation. “The LCC Four Pillars of MPR is an official MPR RI programme carried out routinely every year as part of the socialisation of national values. This programme has been intensified since the Reformasi era, particularly after the amendment of the 1945 Constitution,” he clarified. He mentioned that besides the quiz competition, the MPR also conducts various other socialisation methods, such as training for teachers and lecturers (training of trainers), seminars, dialogues, as well as debate and outbound activities for university students. “This competition is not merely a contest but part of the MPR’s methods and strategies to convey the values of the Four Pillars of MPR to the younger generation/students in a more engaging and interactive manner,” he stated. National Final to be Held in Jakarta HNW added that the winners of the LCC Four Pillars of MPR at the provincial level will later participate in the national final in Jakarta. The event will coincide with the commemoration of Constitution Day on 18 August. He hopes that participants from Bengkulu can advance to the national level and bring honour to the region. “This is not impossible. Bengkulu’s younger generation can continue their region’s great history, becoming pioneers and champions, not only in the past but also in the present and future,” he remarked. On that occasion, HNW also emphasised the importance of understanding the Four Pillars of MPR RI substantively, not just memorisation. He stated that the four pillars of the MPR include Pancasila, the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia, the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia, and Bhinneka Tunggal Ika. “The hope is that these basic values are not only memorised but internalised and practised in everyday life,” he explained. He exemplified that the practice of Pancasila values can be realised through religious attitudes, social care, and the spirit of unity. Meanwhile, understanding the 1945 Constitution must be followed by obedience to legal rules. HNW also appreciated various programmes of the Bengkulu Provincial Government that he deemed aligned with Pancasila values, including care for orphans. He hopes these positive programmes can serve as examples for other regions in Indonesia. “If this programme succeeds and is widely disseminated, it can become a good tradition followed by other provinces. This is part of the real implementation of national values that directly becomes a solution to national problems,” he said. Momentum of National Education Day The activity also coincides with the commemoration of National Education Day. HNW invited all participants to make this momentum a reinforcement of the spirit of learning and contributing to the nation. HNW also motivated the participants to become a generation of guardians and even winners in practising national values embodied in the Four Pillars of MPR RI. He further hopes that the LCC Four Pillars activity in Bengkulu can run smoothly and always produce a younger generation/Gen Z that is characterful, nationally insightful, superior, and ready to safeguard the integrity and prosperity of Indonesia. “Happy National Education Day commemoration. Let us enlighten ourselves, schools, and Indonesia with the spirit of education,” he concluded.
