HNI contributes Rp963 billion from national direct selling transactions
Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Ministry of Trade has recorded that PT Halal Network International (HNI) successfully contributed Rp963 billion in direct selling transactions out of the national total. “Of the Rp7.08 trillion, Rp963 billion is the contribution from HNI. So that is how significant direct selling is, and its context in terms of contribution to the Indonesian economy,” said Director General of Domestic Trade at the Ministry of Trade Iqbal Shoffan Shofwan at the HNI Beyond 14: Building The Future Together event at HNI Plaza, Kalimalang, East Jakarta, Saturday. According to Iqbal, this achievement proves that the direct selling business model has a strong ecosystem value and has a real impact on Indonesia’s economic growth. The large transaction figure generated by HNI, Iqbal said, reflects the high reliability of its marketing network and the market’s absorption capacity for halal products in the country. “This business model does not only rely on retail transactions, but also invests in the development of marketing personnel and the formation of tiered distributor networks,” said Iqbal. Therefore, the government is committed to continuing to maintain and protect the direct selling business ecosystem so that it grows healthily and is protected from trading practices that violate regulatory provisions. In addition, through continuous supervision and legal certainty, the Ministry of Trade hopes that the direct selling sector can continue to be a pillar supporting domestic consumption and empower millions of independent marketing personnel throughout Indonesia. Meanwhile, President Director of Halal Network International Agung Yulianto said that the achievements made by the company over the past 14 years are the fruit of consumer trust, hard work by management, and collaboration with business partners (leaders) throughout Indonesia. “What we are proud of in these 14 years, first of course we must be grateful to Allah SWT, that this is not solely the work of our management together with all leaders, but by the permission of Allah SWT. What needs to be underlined is that it is not only the growth figures that we are proud of,” said Agung. According to Agung, HNI’s main indicator of success lies in the company’s role as a platform for the growth and development of a loyal consumer base and thousands of new entrepreneurs. Currently, HNI has recorded a total membership of 6 million people. Of that number, the loyal consumer base that made shopping transactions in the past year reached one million people. Meanwhile, the number of active consumers who consistently shop every month stands at more than 300,000 people. “How HNI has become a place for the growth of millions of people, who are now loyal consumers. So it should be noted that HNI’s loyal consumers who shopped in the past year number one million people,” Agung explained.
