Jakarta (ANTARA) - PT Hino Motors Sales Indonesia (HMSI), along with Politeknik Transportasi Darat Bali (POLTRADA Bali), the National Committee for Transportation Safety (KNKT), and PT Cahaya Surya Bali Indah (CSBI), have forged a collaboration to enhance safe and comfortable driving literacy for commercial vehicle drivers.

“For Hino, safety is not just about the vehicles, but also about ensuring that customers’ operations run safely, efficiently, and productively. Therefore, Hino continues to support the enhancement of safety awareness through education, the implementation of vehicle maintenance management, and the development of driver competencies,” said HMSI Marketing Director Tomoki Hattori in an official statement on Tuesday.

The seminar activity, themed “Enhancing Transport Fleet Productivity and Efficiency through Driver Monitoring and Maintenance Management Implementation,” serves as an important platform for improving safety literacy for drivers and fostering collaboration between industry, regulators, and educational institutions.

POLTRADA Bali Director Firga Ariani explained that vocational education in transportation plays a crucial role in creating competent human resources ready to face the challenges of the modern transportation industry.

“Collaboration with industry players like Hino is a positive step in strengthening the quality of education and transportation safety practices,” Firga Ariani stated.

She continued that in the commercial vehicle industry, safety is not only related to regulatory compliance but also a key factor in maintaining business productivity.

Well-monitored driver and vehicle conditions can help reduce accident risks, minimise downtime, and improve fleet operational efficiency.

Therefore, the implementation of driver monitoring and vehicle maintenance management becomes a primary focus in creating a safer and more sustainable transportation system.

Meanwhile, KNKT Senior Investigator Ahmad Wildan stated that safety is a shared responsibility. Thus, the event also features various panel discussions and interactive Q&A sessions between speakers and participants.

“Safety is a shared responsibility. Transportation safety cannot be burdened on one party alone, but requires collaboration between operators, drivers, industry, regulators, and the public to create a better safety culture,” said Ahmad Wildan.

With the start of the collaboration between Hino Academy and Poltrada, it will facilitate trucking and bus transportation companies in obtaining driver training and vehicle maintenance management in the Bali area and surroundings.
