The Indonesian Industrial Estates Association (HKI) has confirmed its readiness to facilitate the needs of Russian investors looking to invest in Indonesia, from providing industrial land to assisting with the licensing process. This commitment was conveyed during the INNOPROM 2026 international industrial exhibition in Yekaterinburg, Russia, where Indonesia was honoured as the Official Partner Country. HKI Chairman Maruf stated that the association is prepared to be a local partner by facilitating the provision of industrial land, guiding investors through the entire licensing process, and matching them with industrial estates that best suit their business needs. ‘We want to build a long-term, mutually beneficial cooperation between Indonesia and Russia,’ Maruf said in a press statement on Tuesday. During the event, HKI signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Association of Clusters, Technology Parks and Special Economic Zones of Russia. The agreement was signed by the Russian association’s CEO, Labudin Mikhail, and the HKI Chairman, witnessed by Indonesia’s Minister of Industry Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita and Russian Minister of Industry and Trade Anton Alikhanov. The cooperation serves as a foundation for strengthening relations between the industrial estates of both countries, covering investment promotion, exchange of business opportunity information, joint industrial project development, capacity building for industrial estate management, and facilitation of investments by Russian companies in Indonesia and vice versa. Maruf added that HKI, which oversees industrial estate managers across various regions of Indonesia, is ready to provide assistance to investors from the initial stages, including site selection, land provision, coordination with estate managers, and facilitation of various licensing processes. This approach is expected to accelerate the realisation of investments so that investors can promptly commence their business activities. Through its participation in INNOPROM 2026 and the signing of the agreement, HKI is optimistic that economic relations between Indonesia and Russia will grow closer, opening new investment opportunities in manufacturing, downstream processing, technology, logistics, energy, and industrial estates. This step is hoped to mark the beginning of more investment projects that will add value to the national economy, create jobs, and strengthen the global competitiveness of Indonesian industry.
