Hitman in Joxzin member murder named as suspect; getaway driver remains a witness

Police have newly named one suspect in the murder of a Joxzin member in Kaliurang, Argomulyo, Sedayu, Bantul. It was also revealed that the ride-along and the executor is the suspect SS (29), a resident of Gamping, Sleman. ‘One of them has not yet been named as a suspect and remains a witness,’ Bantul Police Public Relations Chief Iptu Rita Hidayanto told detikJogja on Friday, 6 March 2026. The witness with initials FS (22), also from Gamping, Sleman, is said to have not been the person who chauffeured SS to the scene. ‘After further investigation it turned out that SS was the ’joki’. FS only rode along and waited outside the scene,’ she said. FS is currently not detained by police, given their status as a witness. ‘FS remains a witness for now and is being released,’ she added. Earlier reports said police had arrested the perpetrators in Sedayu on Thursday (5 March). After investigations including interviewing witnesses and analysing CCTV footage, police identified the perpetrators. ‘Around 04:00 local time yesterday, the Bantul Police Resmob together with the DIY Regional Police Opsnal Jatanras and Sedayu Sector Crime Unit secured the suspect in Sedayu,’ she told reporters in Bantul on Thursday (5 March). The two suspects are SS (29) and FS (22), both residents of Gamping, Sleman. ‘For SS, his role is the executor and he has been named a suspect. As for FS, his role is the ride-along who accompanied SS; FS is currently being examined,’ she said.
