The Yogyakarta City branch of the Indonesian Young Entrepreneurs Association (HIPMI) held its 2026 Branch Working Meeting (Rakercab) and Branch Business Forum (Forbiscab) at Grha Budaya Embung Giwangan. Carrying the theme ‘Lokal Mumpuni, Ngrambah Nagari’, the event served as a strategic moment to strengthen organisational consolidation while opening investment collaboration opportunities for young entrepreneurs.

The Rakercab and Forbiscab not only discussed the work direction of BPC HIPMI Yogyakarta City for the 2025–2028 period but also featured an intensive interaction forum among business actors, government, investors, and strategic partners. Two main agendas drew particular attention: the Business Plan Competition and the Jogja Investment Arena. More than 50 pitching participants presented their ideas and potential business models before panellists and investors, reflecting the younger generation’s drive to penetrate broader markets.

For the Jogja Investment Arena specifically, HIPMI Yogyakarta City partnered with the Investment and One-Stop Integrated Services Agency (DPMPTSP), Nusantara Investment Network (NIN), the Jaya Creative Entrepreneurs Association (APKJ), and the Meet The Investor community. This collaboration opened investment-based funding opportunities expected to accelerate local business growth. Head of the Yogyakarta City PMPTSP Agency, Budi Santosa, stressed that partnership between government and the business world is key to boosting the regional economy. ‘The government creates a conducive investment climate and provides service convenience, while the business world becomes the driving force of investment, innovation, job creation, and economic growth,’ he said.

Appreciation also came from the Chair of the Meet The Investor Committee and Head of Investment & Green Economy at APKJ, M. Rizky Pratama. He assessed that real investment schemes are greatly needed to encourage local business acceleration. ‘With incoming investment, the hope is that businesses in the Yogyakarta City area can develop further and the regional economy can continue to grow,’ he said.

Similar support was expressed by the Chair of Nusantara Investment Network, Arifin Wicaksono, known as Pak Wicak. According to him, the enthusiasm of participants and investors in the forum reflects a healthy and promising business ecosystem. ‘Jogja Investment Arena is an extraordinary event that brings together the spirit of young businesspeople with the openness of investors. We hope events like this can continue to be held regularly to foster the business and investment ecosystem in Indonesia,’ he said.
