HIPMI Pushes SMEs to Level Up through "Scale Up Jakpus" Programme
Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Jakarta Pusat Branch Executive Board of the Indonesian Young Entrepreneurs Association (BPC HIPMI) is encouraging micro, small, and medium enterprise (SME) actors to level up through the “Scale Up Jakpus: Read Data, Open Opportunities, Increase SME Turnover in JakPus” programme.
The programme serves as an effort to promote literacy on investment opportunities and inter-regional collaborations to enhance the capacity and competitiveness of SME entrepreneurs in Central Jakarta.
The General Chairman of BPC HIPMI Jakarta Pusat, Teguh Agung Hartanto, stated in a written release in Jakarta on Thursday that “Scale Up Jakpus” represents the organisation’s commitment to encouraging SMEs to become more adaptive and competitive.
“We see that today’s SME challenges are not just about capital, but also about the ability to read data and seize opportunities,” said Teguh.
Through the programme, he added, HIPMI Jakarta Pusat aims to act as a driver of the ecosystem that connects business actors with real access to markets, investments, and collaborations.
The “Scale Up Jakpus” programme, held in Jakarta on Wednesday (6/5), featured various practical materials, from the utilisation of economic data and investment opportunities to business development strategies and access to banking financing.
The Chairman of the Organising Committee, who is also the Deputy General Secretary for Sector XII Investment and Inter-Regional Cooperation of BPC HIPMI Jakarta Pusat, M Akhyar Ridho Lubis, said the event was packaged to provide relevant and valuable experiences for participants.
“We ensure that every session in ‘Scale Up Jakpus’ has practical value, from presentations on economic data and business development strategies to banking access opportunities. The hope is that participants not only gain insights but also concrete steps to develop their businesses,” explained Akhyar.
“We welcome this programme as it creates a space for collaboration between the government, business community, and financial sector to drive regional economic growth,” stated Denny.
On the same occasion, the Head of the One-Stop Integrated Service (PTSP) of Central Jakarta, Iwan Kurniawan, added that public services today are not only related to administration but also to creating growth spaces for business actors.
He views the programme as able to help SMEs understand business opportunities, licensing access, and connectivity to the investment and financing ecosystem.
“When SMEs are able to level up, the impact is not only an increase in business turnover but also regional economic growth and the opening of job opportunities,” said Iwan.
Through the programme, HIPMI Jakarta Pusat is optimistic that SMEs can develop further, expand market access, increase turnover, and become part of the national investment ecosystem.
