The candidate for General Chairman of the BPP Hipmi for the 2026-2029 term, Reynaldo Bryan, has voiced his targets and hopes for eliminating the dichotomy between the center and the regions and encouraging local entrepreneurs to become the main drivers in achieving national economic growth targets. According to him, there is no difference between Hipmi in the regions or cities. Hipmi, he said, must be the main locomotive to pursue an 8 percent economic growth.

He revealed this on Friday (May 15) evening at Plataran Senayan, South Jakarta, at a large gathering event titled ‘Night of Regional Collaboration.’ The event, initiated by Reynaldo in the lead-up to the XVIII BPP Hipmi National Conference, carried the spirit of brotherhood and synergy among young entrepreneurs from various parts of the archipelago.

Carrying the spirit of ‘Regional Collaboration for Indonesia,’ this event was not just a gathering, but a platform to demonstrate a unifying vision. A strong wave of support flowed through the presence of dozens of leaders from the Regional Management Boards (BPD) of Hipmi across Indonesia, who came together that night, aligning their frequencies to support the candidate, Reynaldo Bryan, towards the leadership position.

In the event, in addition to the General Chairmen of the BPDs from various regions, national youth figure Kaesang Pangarep, General Chairman of BPP HipmiI Akbar Himawan Buchari (AHB), and a number of Former General Chairmen (Mantum) of BPP Hipmi were also present. The event took place in a lively atmosphere, with the highlight being Reynaldo Bryan’s direct presentation of his vision and mission.

In his speech, Reynaldo expressed his deep appreciation to all the figures and BPD Chairmen who attended. He also reflected on his long journey, which began with the struggle of a regional cadre.

‘My journey began 9 years ago during the term of Chairman Bahlil, starting from the BPD HipmiI West Papua. I progressed to become the Treasurer of the BPD Hipmi Papua Barat, and then I met Chairman Akbar Himawan Buchari, and today I stand here running as a candidate for General Chairman of BPP Hipmi,’ Reynaldo recalled.

As a representative of the regions, Reynaldo reaffirmed his commitment to eliminating the dichotomy between the center and the regions, and encouraging local entrepreneurs to become the main drivers in achieving national economic growth targets.

‘Hipmi must be the main locomotive to pursue an 8 percent economic growth. There is no successful formula for economic growth if we do not grow new young entrepreneurs in the regions. That is why the vision we carry is P.A.T.E.N,’ Reynaldo emphasized.

Reynaldo also explained that in order to gain trust in strategic government sectors, young entrepreneurs must build strong capacity. He stressed the importance of an ecosystem that can elevate regional entrepreneurs so that they have concrete bargaining power.

‘If we create an ecosystem, empower them, and elevate their class, we will be ready. Entrepreneurs must have strong values, they must be concrete. I hope that in the future there will be more regional entrepreneurs who can lead as General Chairman, so that equity can truly work well,’ he added.

This vision and real commitment were immediately recognized by regional leaders. The General Chairman of the BPD Hipmi of Central Sulawesi, Muhammad Fakhri Fadhlurrahman, stated that Reynaldo is a figure who is very sensitive to the dynamics on the ground.

‘Chairman Rey understands, cares about, and is concerned about fellow regional entrepreneurs. The P.A.T.E.N vision that he carries is fully in line with what Hipmi needs in the future,’ said Fakhri.

Strong moral support also came from the Former General Chairman of BPP Hipmi for the period 1992-1995, Adi Putra Darmawan Tahir. He highlighted the essence of brotherhood and courage in organizing within Hipmi.

‘We in Hipmi build brotherhood. The real test in Hipmi is to be brave to step forward, and the candidate, Rey, has demonstrated that courage,’ praised Adi Putra.
