HIPMI Chairman Candidate Pushes for Local Entrepreneurs as Key to Economic Growth
Jakarta (ANTARA) - Candidate for Chairman of the Central Executive Board of the Indonesian Young Entrepreneurs Association (HIPMI) for the 2026-2029 period, Reynaldo Bryan, is committed to eliminating the dichotomy between central and regional branches and promoting local entrepreneurs as the main driver in achieving national economic growth targets.
According to him, there is no difference between regional or city HIPMI branches. HIPMI, he said, must be the main locomotive to pursue an 8 percent economic growth.
“There is no successful formula for economic growth if we do not cultivate new young entrepreneurs in the regions. Why? Because the number of new entrepreneurs we have now is still lacking. That is why the vision we carry is P.A.T.E.N,” he said in a statement in Jakarta, Saturday.
This was conveyed during a grand gathering entitled “Regional Collaboration Night” in Jakarta, Friday (15/5) night. Carrying the spirit of “Regional Collaboration for Indonesia”, the event initiated by Reynaldo was not just a gathering, but a stage to prove a unifying vision.
“If we create an ecosystem, empower it, and upgrade it, we will be ready. Entrepreneurs must have strong values, must be concrete. If we want to be trusted, our business must also be concrete. I hope that in the future there will be more regional entrepreneurs who can lead as chairman so that equity truly runs well,” he said.
“Chairman Rey really understands, cares, and is concerned with fellow regional entrepreneurs, both regarding the problems and the potential of each region. The P.A.T.E.N vision and mission that he carries is fully in line with what HIPMI needs in the future. His vision and mission are very relevant and also very much needed by the regions,” said Fakhri.
Meanwhile, former Chairman of the HIPMI Central Executive Board, Adi Putra Darmawan Tahir, highlighted the essence of brotherhood and courage in being a member of HIPMI.
“We in HIPMI build brotherhood. Later, the candidate for chairman must always be reminded that what is being built is brotherhood and we must always be united. The real test in HIPMI is to be brave to move forward, and the candidate for chairman, Rey, has carried out that courage,” said Adi.
In addition to the Chairmen of the HIPMI Regional Executive Boards from various regions, the event was also attended by national young figures such as Kaesang Pangarep, Chairman of the HIPMI Central Executive Board, Akbar Himawan Buchari, and a number of former Chairmen of the HIPMI Central Executive Board.
Reynaldo also expressed his appreciation to all the figures and Chairmen of the HIPMI Regional Executive Boards who attended. He also reflected on his long journey which started from the struggle of regional cadres.
“My story began nine years ago during the leadership of Chairman Bahlil (Lahadalia), starting from the HIPMI West Papua Regional Executive Board. I went through the process of becoming Treasurer of the HIPMI West Papua Regional Executive Board, then I met Chairman Akbar Himawan Buchari until today I stand here running as Chairman of the HIPMI Central Executive Board,” said Reynaldo.
