HIPMI Calls Germany a Strategic Partner to Boost Investment Cooperation

Jakarta - The Chairman of the Central Executive Board of the Indonesian Young Entrepreneurs Association (BPP HIPMI), Ade Zona Prasetyo, stated that Germany is one of Indonesia’s strategic partners in Europe, particularly in the fields of investment, technology, manufacturing, vocational education, and sustainable industrial development. “We see many opportunities to enhance more concrete cooperation, especially in investment, technology transfer, value-added industrial development, renewable energy, and human resource capacity building,” Ade Jona said in a statement in Jakarta on Tuesday. According to him, the state visit of the President of the Federal Republic of Germany, Frank-Walter Steinmeier, to the State Palace in Jakarta is an important part of strengthening bilateral relations between Indonesia and Germany, while opening up wider collaboration opportunities between business actors from both countries. Ade Jona stated that HIPMI, as the largest entrepreneurs’ organisation in Indonesia, is ready to serve as a bridge connecting Indonesian entrepreneurs with the German business world. “Indonesia and Germany’s relationship has a very strong foundation. HIPMI is ready to be a strategic partner in bringing together business actors from both countries. We want to encourage more business collaboration, investment, technological innovation, and entrepreneurship development programmes that can provide benefits for Indonesia and Germany,” he said. Ade Jona assessed that Germany’s experience in building a modern manufacturing industry and vocational education system can serve as an important reference for developing the business and industrial ecosystem in Indonesia. “We believe that strong economic cooperation will be an important foundation in strengthening relations between the two countries. Young Indonesian entrepreneurs are ready to be part of the Indonesia-Germany strategic partnership in the future,” he added.
