Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Bekasi chapter of the Indonesian Young Entrepreneurs Association (HIPMI) held Padelora Fest 2026 on Sunday, an event designed as both a sporting occasion and a means to strengthen business networks among young entrepreneurs through activities combining padel competition and interaction between business players.

BPC HIPMI Bekasi Chairwoman Farah Rizky stated in Jakarta on Sunday that the event was designed to provide a healthy, productive, and enjoyable space for young entrepreneurs to build relationships and collaboration.

“Through Padelora Fest, we want to present a healthy, productive, and enjoyable space for young entrepreneurs to get to know each other more closely and build stronger connections,” Farah said.

According to her, sport can be an effective medium to bring together business players from various sectors in a more relaxed atmosphere compared to formal business forums. She believes strong business relationships often grow from sustained informal interactions.

Farah expressed hope that the event would expand networks, increase engagement among members, and open up collaboration opportunities with tangible impact for participants.

Meanwhile, Dennish Mountary, Chairman of the Padelora Semi-Autonomous Body of HIPMI Bekasi, said padel was chosen because its character aligns with the spirit of entrepreneurship. He noted that padel emphasises teamwork, communication, and sportsmanship, which are also important elements in the business world.

Additionally, the rapid growth of padel in Indonesia was seen as the right momentum to broaden networks and build collaboration among young entrepreneurs.

Agung Pratama Wiguna, Chairman of the Padelora Fest 2026 Organising Committee, said the event was not only a sports competition but also an interaction space for participants to share experiences and expand business relations.

“We see very good enthusiasm from participants. Besides competing, participants also took advantage of this momentum to exchange experiences and broaden their networks. Interactions like this often open up collaboration opportunities that do not emerge in formal forums,” he said.
