Hino to Supply 10,000 Dutro Trucks for Kopdes Merah Putih

JAKARTA - Following various controversies surrounding the procurement of vehicles for the Kopdes Merah Putih village cooperatives, PT Hino Motors Sales Indonesia (HMSI) has announced its participation in the programme. Susilo Darmawan, Sales & After Sales Director of HMSI, stated that considering the capabilities of the supply chain for both local components and CKD, Hino is able to supply as many as 10,000 units of trucks for Kopdes Merah Putih. “If the procurement must indeed be local. Our TKDN is already 70 percent. We are supplying 10,000 units for the Dutro HD and HDX trucks. This number represents the optimal contribution we can currently provide to support the Kopdes Merah Putih programme,” he said at Jiexpo Kemayoran on Wednesday (9/4/2026). Each of these village cooperatives will receive one Hino truck to support distribution operations. Susilo also said that Hino hopes to contribute to the success of the Kopdes Merah Putih programme while helping the government strengthen national logistics distribution and improve the welfare of Indonesian society. “Hino feels very proud to be trusted to contribute to this excellent government programme,” he stated. These trucks feature a thick frame and strong differential, often used for dump trucks. Meanwhile, the Hino Dutro HDX is a light heavy-duty truck with six wheels. The truck is designed for construction, mining, and plantations, known for its high torque and strong frame.
