JAKARTA - PT Hino Motors Sales Indonesia (HMSI) launched the Hino Bus 136 MDBL 4x4 at the Giicomvec 2026 event on Wednesday (8/4/2026). This latest bus model is specifically designed to support operations in heavy terrain, such as plantations and manhaul in mining areas. The Hino Bus 136 MDBL 4x4 is a vehicle tailored for transporting workers from mess areas or offices to operational sites in plantations or mines with challenging terrain conditions. Unlike conventional buses, this vehicle is equipped with a 4x4 drive system, where the transfer case functions to distribute power to the front and rear wheels effectively in off-road conditions. Using the Euro4-standard N04C engine, the Hino Bus 136 MDBL 4x4 is also designed for intensive operations up to 24 hours in harsh work environments. At this event, the bus features a Touristo body made by Karoseri New Armada. Regarding pricing, the bus chassis is sold for around Rp 500 million, excluding the body from the coachbuilder. For information, the Hino Bus 136 MDBL 4x4 is the only one in its class produced by an authorised vehicle assembler and already possesses a Type Test Certificate (SUT), allowing it to be subject to VAT and legally operated on public roads.
