Himpaudi West Java Urges Indramayu Regency to Immediately Disburse PAUD Teacher Incentives
The West Java regional board of the Association of Indonesian Early Childhood Educators and Education Personnel (Himpaudi) is urging the Indramayu Regency Government to immediately disburse incentives for PAUD teachers. This comes despite reports that the incentive funds have already been allocated through the 2026 Fiscal Year Regional Budget (APBD).
The Chairperson of Himpaudi West Java, Widiasih Yogasara, explained that the incentive budget for PAUD teachers represents the local government’s commitment to early childhood education. Consequently, she expressed deep concern regarding the current situation faced by PAUD teachers in Indramayu Regency.
“We have heard that the budget for Himpaudi Indramayu Regency has not yet been disbursed. We are concerned,” said Widiasih on Friday (18/09/2026).
According to Widiasih, almost all regencies and cities in West Java have already allocated these funds. She expressed her appreciation to regional heads who have successfully disbursed the budget.
“To the Regents and Mayors in West Java who have allocated and disbursed the incentive budget, we offer our thanks. This is a form of respect to PAUD teachers, who are an inseparable part of our national education system,” she stated.
Widiasih added that her organisation continues to fight for the welfare of PAUD teachers, especially as they are not yet officially recognised as teachers under the National Education System Law (UU Sisdiknas). “We are constantly fighting for the fate of these PAUD teachers so that they are on par with other teachers. This means the UU Sisdiknas must be submitted for review,” Widiasih said.
Meanwhile, the Chairperson of Himpaudi Indramayu Regency, Umiyati, confirmed that all PAUD teachers affiliated with Himpaudi Indramayu have yet to receive their allocated incentive budget. This is despite the fact that the budget was previously agreed upon between the executive and legislative branches.
“We from Himpaudi have consulted with both the legislative and executive branches regarding the budget. However, we are constantly being passed back and forth, leading to a state of uncertainty,” explained Umyati.
Umyati noted that compared to other regencies and cities in West Java, only PAUD teachers in Indramayu Regency have not received these incentives, despite the funds being desperately needed. “It is distressing. One must ask whether there is truly any attention from the local government in Indramayu Regency towards the PAUD teachers who educate Indramayu’s children from an early age,” she concluded.
