Hima Kosgoro 1957 Prepares Programmes for Students and the Wider Community

Hima Kosgoro 1957 is preparing a series of programmes targeting students and the wider community. The programmes cover cadre capacity building, strengthening of intellectual ideas, youth development, and community service.

Chairman of the Central Executive Board (DPP) of Hima Kosgoro 1957, Jihan Abdullah, said the organisation needs to increase activities whose benefits can be directly felt by the community. She also assessed that strengthening consolidation must run alongside programmes that address the problems facing students and society.

“Going forward, Hima Kosgoro 1957 must not be preoccupied with internal turmoil. We must do more and present programmes whose benefits can be directly felt by the community,” Jihan said in her inaugural speech.

According to Jihan, Hima Kosgoro 1957 will strengthen the role of students in national life, youth development, and community service. Cadre capacity building and intellectual development are also on the agenda to broaden the space for student contribution.

“We are ready to carry out the instructions of the Chairman of PPK Kosgoro 1957 to conduct consolidation in all 38 provinces of Indonesia,” Jihan said in a press release on Tuesday (15/9/2026).

The Chairman of PPK Kosgoro 1957, who is also Deputy Speaker of the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR RI), Sari Yuliati, has set a target for Hima Kosgoro 1957 to be established and present in every province of Indonesia by 2027. This network expansion will support the implementation of the organisation’s programmes across various regions.

Hima Kosgoro 1957 will also carry strategic agendas related to the challenges facing the younger generation and national dynamics. These programmes are directed at giving student cadres room to contribute to the problems faced by society.

Jihan said the organisation’s contribution is aimed not only at internal strengthening but also at national life.

“Our commitment is to strengthen our contribution to Kosgoro 1957, Golkar, and Indonesia,” she said.

Jihan was elected by acclamation as Chairman of the DPP of Hima Kosgoro 1957 at the Extraordinary Grand Congress (Mubeslub) organised by PPK Kosgoro 1957 at the Golkar Party’s DPP Hall in Jakarta on Sunday (13/9/2026). The Mubeslub was held to determine the leadership of the DPP of Hima Kosgoro 1957 and to discuss the direction of the organisation’s movement following turmoil during the implementation of the Fifth Congress (Mubes V).
