Hiker found dead in West Sumatra
PADANG, West Sumatra: A hiker was found dead on Mt. Merapi after falling 50 meters into a ravine on Sunday, rescue workers said on Thursday.
Buyung Utih, 20, fell as he tried to descend in heavy fog, they said, adding that his body had yet to be removed from the site.
Buyung, who was hiking up the mountain on Saturday night with seven others, was the fifth fatality on the mountain in five months.
Four university students went missing in November and were later found dead. (28)
