Hiii! King Cobra Enters a Resident's Front Yard in Bogor, Fire Department Responds

An eyewitness reported that a snake had entered from the front yard of his house and was heading toward the front room, said Yudi Santosa, head of the Bogor Regency Fire Department (Dinas Pemadam Kebakaran Kabupaten Bogor), on Saturday, 23 May 2026. He said the incident occurred on Friday, 23 May. Initially the resident saw the snake’s tail. “However the complainant traced the snake, which he believed to be a Java king cobra, and it turned out to be a large king cobra,” he explained. The resident, feeling worried, reported the incident to the fire department. Officers prepared equipment and headed to the location. Half an hour after receiving the report, the fire department arrived at the scene. The officers conducted the evacuation with a range of equipment and managed to secure the snake. “The situation was ultimately under control; the snake was evacuated by Team 1. The evacuation lasted 1 hour 32 minutes,” concluded Yudi.
